Phibble Music has always been about supporting Musicians that believe in the art of music, and it's impact on the fans. Music is an important part of our lives however music as an art is being threatened.
The music industry has been taken over by large conglomerates who care more about profits than the music they distribute, as a result, the quality of music is slowly degrading to a slurry of copycats and manufactured "talent".
On top of these low quality artists being forced down our throats at outrageous prices, the music industry would like to censor the Internet in the United States. The music industry is not only supporting SOPA1 (and it's counterpart PIPA2), but has also donated heavily to the campaigns of the Congressmen and Senators working very hard to push these bills through without regard for how it will affect the infrastructure of the Internet, or how it violates the First Amendment of the Constitution.
It's time for this abuse to end. While the entertainment industry is huge and powerful, they haven't seen the power that the people possess. We are stronger than them, and WE decide whether or not they succeed or fail.
I think it's time for them to fail, and send a message to the multinational conglomerates and governments around the world that says - "if you abuse us, we will fight back and you will cease to exist".
As part of the Operation: Independence Network, Phibble Music is your alternative to the madness that is the music industry. We are recreating an industry that puts the control back where it belongs ‐ the musicians and the fans!
All of the music here is created by Independent artists who price their music reasonably and believe in rewarding their fans for their loyalty. By supporting the artists on this site, you not only help them earn a living, but you also rip control from the labels who not only rip the fans off, but have also been ripping artists off for years.
1. SOPA stands for "Stop Online Piracy Act", which is a very misguided bill in the House that is aimed at stopping counterfiet goods and copyright violations. Read more about it here.
2. PIPA stands for Protect IP (intellectual property) ACT, SOPA's counterpart in the Senate.
